CMP- Elk Grove Dress Code 2026/2027 Dress Code

Thank you for helping us maintain a positive and family-friendly atmosphere!
Religious or cultural attire is always allowed.
All clothing should be free of holes and tears

Tops

  • Tops/ Sweatshirts/Sweaters should be solid in color. Small insignias are permitted (ex., designer emblems), and hoods must be removed when indoors
  • Shirt straps should be the width of 3 fingers. Midriffs should remain covered when arms are raised
  • Low-sided shirts such as team jerseys should be worn with a shirt underneath
  • CMP t-shirts are permitted as a part of the dress code and can be worn daily

Bottoms/Dresses/Jumpers

  • Plain/solid colored only
  • Leggings should be made of thick material (not sheer or see-through during activities)
  • Shorts must be as long as the student’s fingertips when arms are at their sides.
  • Skirts & dresses must at least reach the mid-thigh
  • No pajama bottoms

Outdoor Coats and Jackets: 

  • Any color is permitted but must be free of distracting media. 

Socks & Tights: 

  • Non-distracting colors or designs are permitted.

Shoes

  • Enclosed toe and heel straps
  • No distracting decorations, lights, or wheels at any time.
  • Soles and heels are 2” or less
  • Appropriate athletic shoes should be worn on PE days.

Backpacks and Lunch Boxes: 

  • Decorations on these items are to be appropriate. 

Jewelry, Hair, and Adornments: 

  • Jewelry should be simple, non-dangling in nature (for safety and to avoid loss). 
  • Hairstyles are to be neat and non-distracting. (no animal ears, lights, pom-poms, etc.).
  • Minimal makeup can be worn by middle schoolers
  • Hats are to be worn outside only.

Free-Dress Fridays! 

  • Please choose attire that is appropriate for all ages and promotes a respectful environment.
  • Clothing must be clean, neat, and fit properly. Again, no ripped or distressed pants
  • Shoes must be appropriate for play; no wheels, lights, or flip-flops
  • Clothing must not display offensive language, references to drugs, alcohol, violence, or sexual content.
  • Pajama bottoms are okay on pajama days
