2020-21 School Year Plan & School Re-Opening Updates

The Sacramento County Office of Education and the Sacramento County Office of Public Health announced that all Sacramento school districts will be going to full time distance learning for August and September.

In their announcement they cite surging cases in the county and limited testing capacity.  You can find the announcement here: https://www.scoe.net/news/library/2020/july/15fall_distance_learning/

We are reaching out to the El Dorado County Superintendent and the Buckeye Union Superintendent to learn more about their most recent plans.  When we learn more we will send an update to the Shingle Springs community.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic CMP has always followed the guidance of our public health departments.

We know that this news might come as a significant disappointment to our families and staff that were excited to welcome students back to campus.  Based on this new guidance, CMP will re-double our efforts to deliver a high quality, Montessori education via distance learning.  We will continue to work with public health officials to bring students back to school safely when the time is right.

This page will act as a hub for all updates and plans related to School Re-Opening. You can also find the Re-Opening plan here which will be our guide when we are cleared to return to In-Person learning.
